November 29, 200916 yr 4th Concussion since 2006 and that includes the wreck. He passed initial test but experienced headaches this week after practices. That is unfortunate 1 a year lately it seems. Not counting any of his time at Findlay or Miami OH. If he gets 2 more before 30 years of age he has to do some thinking. Will be interesting if the Steelers look for a mid round QB in the draft.
November 29, 200916 yr That's the first time I've heard that he's had that many. In that light, I guess I can see it. Still, walking away from all that money while in the prime of your career would be hard for anybody. The guy is still young. When you're talking about sacrificing the next 30 years of your life, I don't think it's all that difficult of a decision to make. He's made plenty of money. He can retire from the game as a very good QB, become an announcer and continue to make millions without the physical demands (and risks) of NFL football.
November 29, 200916 yr The Steeler fans can flame me.. but I think Big Big may be a concussion away from hanging it up. I know you are wishing this...
November 29, 200916 yr I know you are wishing this... Wrong I am from OH and watched Big Ben play when you were in diapers. My cousin knocked him out of the HS playoffs.
November 29, 200916 yr On a serious note, this sucks to not have Ben against the Ravens, but they need Ben for their playoff run...

November 29, 200916 yr On a serious note, this sucks to not have Ben against the Ravens, but they need Ben for their playoff run... This is one of the most crucial games for their so-called "playoff run."

November 29, 200916 yr This is one of the most crucial games for their so-called "playoff run." Sorry, Pittsburgh fans think about going deep in the playoffs when we say playoff run. Just one of the side effects of having 6 championships.
November 29, 200916 yr Sorry, Pittsburgh fans think about going deep in the playoffs when we say playoff run. Just one of the side effects of having 6 championships. Better get there first :thumb:
November 29, 200916 yr Sorry, Pittsburgh fans think about going deep in the playoffs when we say playoff run. Just one of the side effects of having 6 championships. The point is that, at this point, the Steelers are "in the hunt" for the playoffs. They better focus on getting to the playoffs before they want to make a run. And, from my experiences, a loud mouth is apparently another side effect of those championships. :sssh:

November 30, 200916 yr Dixon just scored a long TD run. He hasn't been that awful tonight. He's accounted for both TD's I think. He's looked nervous but he has the Steelers in the lead.
