November 17, 200916 yr To be honest I haven't had much time to listen to most of the newer albums this year but the ones that come to mind would be: Jay-Z - The Blueprint 3 Dave Matthews Band - Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King Kings of Leon - Only By The Night Cage the Elephant - Cage the Elephant (Gotta show some love for the boys from BG) I'm still wanting to listen to the new Wolfmother, Zac Brown Band, Muse, Pearl Jam and 30 Seconds to Mars.

"Only By The Night" came out in September 2008... My favorites this year have been: Pearl Jam - Backspacer The Used - Artwork The Almost - Monster Monster I think the PJ album is top dog, though.

November 17, 200916 yr I was going to get to see Justin Townes Earle at the Southgate House in December but he cancelled the show. Very dissappointing but I'll have to check out that album.

It doesn't look like he'll be in the area again anytime soonl...but I did get to see him three times this year!

I submit, Midnight at the Movies by Justin Townes Earle After finally picking up a copy of "I and Love and You" by The Avett Bros., I might have to argue. And you know how much I love JTE. "January Wedding" is my runaway song of the year. Nothing else comes close.
