It's appropriate on the expressway, but you'll get pulled over more times than not. I think you're giving the cop too much credit on this one. I think you're missing the point here..
November 19, 200916 yr I don't really complain about speeding tickets in Louisville, because from my experiences (technically my friends' experiences) you have to be absolutely busting the speed limit to get one here.

You think the cop has an agenda against your buddy because they have a few ex's in common and he used to date the cop's girlfriend, wife, etc. My point is that part of the cop's job is to issue speeding tickets to those who speed. 72 in a 55 is 17 mph over. That's not an honest mistake, that's speeding. I've done it - I'm sure we all do it; however, that doesn't make it right. If the cop is issuing your buddy a ticket for going 5 over, then you'd have a point and I'd agree with you. But when your buddy gets caught 4 times going 17 over, it's not the cop's agenda. It's the driver's carelessness. If your buddy thinks the cop is fabricating it, tell him to ask to see the radar gun or whatever the police officer used to validate his speed.

November 19, 200916 yr I recently got a ticket coming back from a WKU game a few weeks back. We were traveling through Todd County and the oncoming car had its high beams on, so I politely flashed mine to remind the driver that his/her high beams were on. The driver dimmed the lights, then put them back on high....to which my response was to put mine back on high....it was a cop. He made a U-Turn and came after me. I pulled over and got a ticket. I wasn't about to argue with him out there in the middle of Todd County....but, I do believe that he could have let me go with a warning......HOWEVER, we were in my wife's Honda Pilot, and she has a license plate frame that says, "Proud Parent of a Falcon State Champion" on it. It's got the FC Logo and helmets on it as well........the day that I got the ticket was 10 October 2009, the day after FC put 78 unanswered points on the board against Todd County Central. Later. Oh yeah.....the ticket itself was only $23, but the court costs were $100! Later.

November 20, 200916 yr ^ OK. Overdraft on your checking account. You unknowingly write a check that puts you in the hole by two dollars. The bank doesn't have a margin of error here. Bounce a check by two dollars or two hundred dollars. The punishment is the same. Actually, at a certain $ threshhold, that bounced check can be a felony whereas a $2 (theft by deception) crime would be a misdemeanor generally speaking.

The last speeding ticket I was involved in was in Virginia. I was asleep in the front seat (as a passenger, of course). :lol:
November 23, 200916 yr I know someone that got a ticket for doing 58 in a 55 on US60 in between Versailles and Frankfort. Sign of the times with local bugets.
