You make it sound like I am saying he should play a lot. If you look I have said he is going to get limited minutes. However I just said he should be more than Harrelson because I believe he helps the team out more than Harrelson does. Harrelson has many more limitations than Stevenson IMO. Harrelson can't finish down low, he wont be someone on the dribble, he can't create his own shot, he gets his shot blocked a lot if he does try to shoot over someone. Is slow and can't play defense, and not the best at rebounding. Harrelson really brings nothing to the table except being able to make a three if he is wide open. I just have never understood people's love affair with Josh H.

 

I'm with you...I almost fought my brother in law over saying Harrelson is way overrated. He was stuck on the fact that he didn't get a fair shot, if he was good enough to play he would get his opppurtunity.

I know it's early and they showed signs of great things to come, but I hope one of the great things is better outside shooting than what I saw in this scrimmage. Without consistent 3 threats most teams will zone the heck out of the Cats and let them shoot 3's all day, as long as they're going 3 for 20.

But it was Campbellsville. Like I said I didn't see the game, I was just expecting to see 100+. Wall will make a difference, no doubt.

Neither are anything to brag about, even less to argue about.

Neither will be integral pieces, but both have different strengths. I would expect matchups and immediate needs would dictate who plays and how much...if they need somebody to knock down an open jump shot and spread the defense out a little, then its Harrison. If they need someone more athletic and capable of challenging shots in the paint, then its Stevenson.

 

As the season progresses, I would expect Patterson, Cousins and Orton to eat up the bulk of the front line minutes anyway.

 

I would say that Stevenson and Harrelson aren't too bad as a 4th and 5th option down low...and its nice to say that's what they are rather than having to depend on them as key players for the team's success.

It has nothing to do with coaching.

Actually it does maybe. Cal has Patterson playing outside doesn't he? The last two years he didn't do any of that. All I'm saying is Perry can maybe do some things he wasn't allowed to before. He won't be playing much but to bluntly say he won't do this or that because of what he has done in the past is a little much. :notworthy:

Lots of athletic ability. The Dribble Drive will be fine in time. It will take a while for everybody to get on the same page.
