I agree with you on this, I'm an ND fan, but if they had an SEC schedule and played 3 or 4 teams from the mountain west I think that would still be a tougher schedule.

Why is it that Mark Ingram is so high on the Heisman list? I think he is having a very good year, but he isn't even the best running back in the country IMO.

If you disagree then why did you put him second on your own list :idunno: :ohbrother:

If we are just talking about this year then Tebow isn't the best QB in the country either.

To each his own, his stats aren't flashy, and he's made some mistakes this year; but his team is 8-0, and he has a good deal to do with this. Quarterbacks do far more things than running backs, with the quarterback position it really isn't all about stats.

Because he won the South Carolina game on his own, when they could have very well lost the game. I think Dion Lewis of Pittsburgh and CJ Spiller are better running backs, but they haven't had the same impact on the National Championship as Mark Ingram have, thus he is a higher Heisman candidate than the other two running backs.

Then you answered your own question about why he is so high on the list.

I'm getting so tired of hearing this. No person would ever say that it is only about stats. If that was the case, Colt Brennan would have won the Heisman. Colt McCoy's team is undefeated... he has a good deal to do with that... and he is a QB.. that is the best argument you can come up with for Tebow ?

Kellen Moore has monster numbers for a top five team and I've yet to hear his name mentioned in any Heisman talk. I realize he plays inferior competition, but this year is wide open. He has 24 TD's, 2 INT's and the highest passer rating in the country. Do I think he should win it? Not at all. However, it is kind of odd that a guy with numbers like that for an undefeated top five team hasn't been discussed at all especially when the kid from Houston is getting thrown out there some.

I'm not saying Jimmy doesn't deserve to be in the Heisman race.

Washington is 3-5... one good win doesn't make you good

Michigan St is 4-5... one "good" loss doesn't make you good

Washington St... 1-7

[Purdue 3-6 coming off a solid 37-0 loss to Wisconsin[/b]

Man those are some solid teams the Irish are playing

Washington is all about QB play.
