Brock Lesnar OUT of UFC 106 fight on November 21st against Carwin

Featured Replies

That stinks...

I wonder who will headline that card now? We already have UFC 105 with no title bout. I guess this means we might have two PPV's in a row without a championship bout on the card.

Stinks.

Cain Velasquez should clear the doctors, wasn't damaged too much.....maybe he should fight Carwin (as it was originally scheduled for UFC 104).

Later.

So much for UFC 106. After Saturday's debacle, and now this, the UFC may be in danger of losing some serious money. It's a good thing for them Fedor is the only good fighter at Strikeforce, or they might have some competition.

I certainly won't be spending any money on 105 or 106.

 Nobody is spending money on 105!

They are in danger of losing serious money because of this? I seriously doubt that.

You don't think losing probably your #1 overall pay per view draw is going to cause the UFC to lose money? Do you really doubt it?

Lose money? Maybe because they won't get as many PPV buys on UFC 106. However they will not lose serious money, and they won't lose money that they can't get back eventually anyways. It's not like this fight is never going to happen. Lesnar will be back within the next few PPV's...he's not retiring .

 Calm down. That's not what I said. Did you not see where I put in the first sentence of my original statement, so much for UFC 106. UFC 106. I'm not really talking about the company as whole.

I'm as calm as possible, not sure what would give you the idea that I am not.

You said, "After Saturday's debacle", so I thought you might have meant the combination of last Saturday's PPV and losing Brock would really hurt the UFC and cause them to lose "serious" money. That is the way it looked to me. Perhaps you should have been more clear in your original post. :D

And I don't think "Saturday's debacle" will cause them to lose all that much money. They will get a ton of buys for that rematch IMO, since it was a good, controversial fight.

They ought to give us the rematch for free since we had to pay for a complete rip off.

Like I've said before, you can't blame that on the UFC. Blame it on the judges, who have absolutely nothing to do with the UFC.

But I'm all for seeing Shogun/Machida II live and free on Spike TV.
