Last year, there was a potential 3rd round playoff game at Belfry (but MC lost to Sheldon Clark in round 2). That leads me to believe that there's a possibility that Mason County could host more than 2. However, I'm in the "one game at a time" camp; especially after last night's first half.

 

The concensus is that 2-time defending champion Louisville Central is the class of the West, but I'm not sure if they're quite as strong this year.

It has to do with even and odd years, my thought or thinking is Mason Co would have all home games til the State Title.

No, Mason Co. will have the first 3 at home no matter what with the third being Belfry or whoever. Then no matter what the fourth game is on the road. Like last year the third game was going to be on the road but the fourth game would of been at home.

It wasn't always pretty but a wins a win. The rain stopped shortly before the game started and the field was pretty messy. Once again Jordan Gilbert made a play that amazed me. His touchdown catch and run was fantastic. In the second half, Mason showed they have power as well as finesse.

Thanks just thought that Mason would have handled FC a little easier not taking anything away from them just thought that Mason was one of the top teams in 3A.

I've tried to tell whoever will listen (not many do:D) that Mason County isn't the kind of team that's going to blitz every team on their schedule. Especially on a muddy field, and especially vs. a team that is as disciplined as Fleming County played last night (milked the play clock down to a second or two every time, until they got down by two scores). I called a 14-point Royals win, and that's what it was.
