Same with Ludlow, they have had lots of turnover problems lately. If that gets fixed this week I think Ludlow wins by a few touchdowns.

:thumb: You beat me to it. 6 turnovers last week devastated them. They also had quite a few against Dayton. Hold onto the football boys! If you have too forget the shake moves and run with two hands on the ball!

Got to go with Ludlow here! You have to have a defense that knows how to tackle & wrap up the ball carrier ,{& a coaching staff that will not let arm tackles go on all season} to make up for turnovers. Ludlow should not have a big of a problem stopping Waltons pee wee style of play calling.

I know this is a first year and young coaching staff , but these problems have been going on all season. I think the inmaturaty of some of these coaches as well as some of the players is coming out at the end. I also hear that these coaches are starting to single out players and blaming them for all the losses, to me a coach should be man enough to step up and take the blame & then make the changes he feels necessary.

They lost 8 both way starters and 13 total seniors. Few 1a teams can comeback from that kind of loss of talent and leadership. No one individual coach or player is to blame for this season. This is a team sport!

No disrespect Sarge , and I agree which is my point no one player or coach is to blame it is a team sport. Lost starters or not when you are this far in the season and still arm tackling thats a problem. From what I heard a senior or seniors who went both ways have quit the team just a week or so ago.

Do not get me wrong I have no beef with Barth , Kline , or the guys in the booth , Barth is a good guy , but you have 2 middle school coaches in a varsity position and it has showed.

Are they aware of some of the talent on that team ? Because IMO the play calling on offense has not shown it. From what I have see the leadership might be there with Barth but is not trickling down with the rest of the staff ?

No disrespect taken. Your experience on this team is at the lower levels not the upper levels like it is on long running programs. The young kids have more "football" experience then the older kids because they have been playing elsewhere..middle school,boone pee wee, Kenton, Campbell, etc. The juniors and seniors have not been playing football as long. They are extremely young team playing a tougher schedule. They had a strech where they played Grant, Caroll, Bellevue, and Beechwood in a row. Tell me another second year team that goes through that schedule and comes away with wins. I have watch this team struggle up in the trenches because they aren't strong enough yet to compete at that level. It is too soon to judge how the staff is going to do, they have some of the old staff and new. It is my understanding that Barth runs the defense and Kline the offense. I do not see the them struggling as much again next year as the line improves and the skill positions are a year older. I see positive things from this group in the future. :thumb:

What I do see is frustrated coaches on the sidelines desperate for a win , understandable.

The fundamentals are assume to be there with these older {nonexperienced }players but must not drilled into them at practice?

Honesty you and I could pick up 6 yards a clip when your defense line is spread & and no backers fill the gaps.

Stop WVs offense , put 8-9 in the box and blitz.

Fundamentals are taught at the lower levels then honed in the upper levels these boys are ones that are learning how to get in a three point stance just a year ago. I am not saying they are doing well but the hardest thing to do is practice PATIENCE. They are outmatched up front right now. When you don't have a lineman that bench 250lbs. and the school does not have a squat rack but a smith machine, that is a problem. However my dear old guy( which I am one by the way), those are correctable problems as are the blocking and tackling. I think that this group as a whole will be better next year all the way around. Have faith, the sun will rise again. Love to help out when I can.:ylsuper:
