Game started 2 hours late. TV reported that no one called the refs. Game was not over till well after 11:30.

Isn't there a game schedule put out ahead of time that assigns the officials?

The game was originally scheduled to be at Station. The district moved the game to Tates Creek and made Lafayette the home team for senior night, Lafayette failed to schedule refs. Good game if you like defense both sides played well, offense was a different story. Good win for BS on a wierd night.

It is not the teams responsibility to schedule the refs. They pay an assigning secretary to do that job. That is who dropped the ball and made these teams wait two hours to finally get the game started. Only in Fayette county would something like this happen.

The School AD has to share some of this responsibility. They confirm the refs they have so they can have paperwork prepared for the refs to sign.

Whoever was in charge of getting referees, this is embarassing. A big high school football game and they don't even have officials scheduled.

Yes they do. Anytime a site is switched (especially late) the gamesite A.D. should assume the officials might not get the info.

Thankfully Bryan Station won.

1st they had to give up their home game to Lafayette and then apparently Lafayette's AD didn't confirm officals.

Totally incorrect. The assigning secretary only schedules what games are requested by the schools. Period. The Lafayette Athletic Director dropped the ball, and then both schools should be held accountable for not double checking. It didn't help that Fayette County was out of school on Thursday and Friday. Most of the time, the home team bookkeeper is actually the double check when checks are to be made out.

That is the first for me not having officials for the game. Huh!
