Go back and look at Tebow in high school. His team ran a pro style offense and Tebow held all high school passing records in Florida till Brantley beat him out. I know High school and the pros are a huge difference in how the game is played and the talent on the field. I just think Tebow will be a successful QB in the NFL not saying he will be greatest QB ever but will start for some NFL team because have you seen some of the quarterbacks who are now starting.

 

Hey, hey, hey, easy SG. I agree. I've been defending Tebow as a pro QB. I think that if a team just doesn't throw him to the wolves as a rookie that he's going to be a fine QB, maybe even a really good one.

 

 

How many times in Tebow's career have you just gone wow what an amazing pass, or how did he fit that pass into that small of a window? I have seen many Florida football games since I been there, and I can't remember really see him do that anytime. If he has I would bet you could count it on less than one hand.

 

In the NFL everyone is fast, you have defensive lineman who some will be faster than him. Also in the NFL he will not be running over people, if he tries he most likely will get hurt. In the NFL your talking about the best of the best. I mean as great as the SEC is, you don't see every player being able to make it in the NFL. Most of the players he has played against, probably wont be in the NFL. So he will be seeing better players than he has ever seen. I just don't see his game translating well in the NFL. I mean it wouldn't be the first time that a great college player, didn't do anything in the NFL. Also he might be able to make some people miss in the pocket like Big Ben, however even in college he was never a good of a passer as Big Ben. Big Ben you could tell he could really throw the ball, I mean that is why he went first round. I do not see that at all in Tebow, and have yet to see him do that. He plays in a system right now that fits him great, and has great players around him. However take him out of the Florida system, and I don't think we would be even talking about Tebow being one of the greatest college players ever.

 

The Alabama game? Those throws he made against the Tide in that game were huge. And came against, IMO, the best defense and defensive game plan executed against the Gators last season, including Ole Miss. He was putting the ball in great spots for to where only Gators could get it. The last throw to Cooper to put the game out of reach was an NFL throw against great coverage. I'd say Bama has more than their share of pros.

 

As for taking Tebow out of UF and he'd get worse, they play to his strengths. UF isn't the only team that runs a Q Power play or anything else they run to him, but he is so good at it that yes they are going to use it and use it often. Maybe he wouldn't have been used that way as early in his career, but I think Tebow would be great at alot of schools. To me that's like saying Crabtree wouldn't have been good in other systems, which I don't believe either.

I don't think so. I also doubt he’s tough enough to play 16 weeks in the NFL if he continues to try and run over everybody in his path…

I think it depends on how long it takes for defensive coordintors to figure out how to stop the Wildcat. Much like the Franklin offense in high school. When it first came out, it was very effective until teams figured out how to beat it. The same with the run and shoot of the early 90s.

 

I'm curious to see Pat White's development in Miami along with how they use Vick in Philly. The Wildcat definately comes at a good time for Tebow because I dont think he starts in the NFL otherwise.
