I have seen many of these kids play and wonder how McCaden (1669 yds - 21 TD's) is not getting any love? SK guys, McCaden had 237 yards against the Henry Clay defense that help Simpson in check. His low mark of the season is 178, and is carrying his team. Every week he goes against 8 and 9 men in the box and still goes off. Boyle, SK, FC and HHS all have spread offenses or multiple weapons to loosen the defense. No kid on this list sees that kind of defensive pressure and still puts up crazy numbers on a weekly basis. Every kid in the poll is an outstanding football player and anyone of them would be deserving, but I would take this kid every day and twice on Sundays.

 

You make a great case, guy. I have not voted yet, but I am leaning toward McCaden. Those are impressive numbers against good defenses that are stacked against him.

Ricky Buckler has as many yards or more than some of these guys on this list. What does it take to be considered for Mr. football.

I think the Barnes kid from Bourbon County is the state's leading rusher, and actually averages more yards per carry than McCaden.

 

Before you talk about the talent he plays against, stop and think about the talent he is playing with as well. I've seen him play a couple of times this season and he is one of the toughest runningbacks I've seen play in a while, 5'8 in cleats, and maybe 160 pounds soaking wet with a rock in his pocket, but he is never tackled by one man. I know the colonels probably arent good enough to get him any recognition, but I think this kid should be talked about.

I'm NOT making a case against him as he is a great ball player, but I have a couple of questions. How many of Buckler's yards came in blowouts? Also, how many have come when an argument can be made that he should no longer have been in the game?

 

Once again, not making a case against him. It'd be great for a 6'0'' 200lb player to put up those stats let along 5'5'' 150lb. He's definately tough!:thumb:

I get to check out Hayden for the first time this season. I'm pretty exxcited about that. I'm sure I will see him break the state record for TD's as well. He has 113 and the record is 116.

Miles Simpson is great! I got to see him on tv the other night. I was pretty impressed with him and the QB for SK :thumb:

 

I have watched Hayden play the last 3 years and he is a very impressive RB. I especially enjoyed the show he and Caleb Watkins of Corbin put on in last year's game, Hayden finished with 295 and Watkins 333 rushing yards.:eek:

Here are a few numbers for Miles Simpson. Please keep in mind the first month of the season he was playing hurt. Last 3 games 14 T.D.s 704 rushing yards on 64 att. If you get the chance go and watch him play. All of these young men are list are Great. I just hope some of they will stay home and help take Kentucky schools at the next level.

He sure is a small 5'7''! Also I didn't make a case against him that's why I said it in the begining of that statement. I asked a question I simply didn't know. You went on a role throwing Miles Simpson into the picture. If you look in the Bellevue/Dayton thread I actually defended Buckler being Mr. Football. Before you make accusations about me take your blinders off and do your homework.

Some of you need to revisit the rules.
