oldjarhead Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 As I understand it, The freshmen playoffs start next week? And for the big schools it is Cov. Cath vs Ryle. And SK vs Highlands. With the two winners playing??? I'm not sure about SK. And can anything happen this week to change things????? :idunno:
Voice of Reason Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 Small schools still have one regular season game left before the playoffs.
JBSmash Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 No, Ryle plays Campbell Co this week. The playoffs start the week after.
Theoldguy Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 (edited) No, Ryle plays Campbell Co this week. The playoffs start the week after. Agreed! :thumb: CovCath play Boone County Thursday Oct 15 @ Boone. Playoffs start the following week with the first round slated to start on Thursday Oct 22, and the finals taking place on Thursday Oct 29. To the best of my knowledge, the site has yet to be determined! Edited October 11, 2009 by Theoldguy
oldjarhead Posted October 11, 2009 Author Posted October 11, 2009 I know everyone has one more regular season game. What I am asking is, can any of the games this week change anything for the big school playoffs?? Or are they set no matter what happens this week???
SlimShady Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 Does anyone have a firm definitive complete explanation as to how the freshman playoffs will be set up? I have seen three different versions on BGP that i recall. THANKS
NKY Bandit Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 Have CovCath and Ryle played this year? What was the result? Should be an interesting game with two good football teams. Don't think SK has anything for FTH- unless you eliminate penalties, get everyone healthy and let Miles and Jordan play. Ryle vs. Highlands for the title sounds like a smart bet. With that game at SK, I'll take Highlands.
Bluesport Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 Have CovCath and Ryle played this year? What was the result? Should be an interesting game with two good football teams. Ryle won by 1 point 1st game of year. CCH missed the PAT to tie in 4th quarter.
Qryche11 Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 Ryle is the favorite and Simon Kenton if healthy will give the Birds all they want. Highlands has had their share of injuries this year with Collinsworth and Turner going down but have had some kids step up and really play well. CovCath has a very nice team as well and should give Ryle a great game.
