I'm not even sure of the level of D1 talent on Ft. Campbell but I would almost guarantee they have Boyle outdone in D1 prospects. Boyle may have a couple at best. I wish the two could play I think it would be similar to the Paducah Tilghman vs. Boyle game a few years back in the playoffs when PT had Hunter Cantwell.

They also had many more D1 prospects than Boyle. That was a Chuck Smith coached team though so I guess im comparing apples to oranges. I do agree that Ft. Campbell is a very good team. A game with them and Boyle would be an interesting matchup.

Maybe, but, I feel Ft Campbell would easily handle Lone Oak, likely 3+ scores and I also feel they would handle Lex Cath very similarily..I think it would be a tossup..I definately don't think they would be out talented, by any means. Likely the other way around. Ft Campbell most likely has more D1 prospects than Boyle does. I know that doesn't mean they would automatically win, but, it does usually mean they would hold there own..

Boyle crushed 6A Lafayette a week after they beat Henry Clay. Boyle could have scored 90 if they wanted to. Did have a bit of a let down in the second half of the Catholic game. But when you score enough points in the first 4 minutes of a game to beat a team that is also considered one of the best in the state thats pretty impressive. This years Highlands team seems to be on another level but Boyle held their own in that series as well a few years back when they played each season.

 

In any poll I would like to see Bell Co. and Boyle Co. right there together. They have played similar to against common opponents and while Bell has lost a game they have really played well ever since.

I too think Boyle and Bell are on similar levels right now. If they meet in the playoffs its gonna be another great game. It will come down to who can impose their will on the other team and make big plays. Cant wait for that game. Wasnt Bell's loss to Alcoa, TN?

Certainly the knock on Lone Oak 2 yrs ago was the fact that there schedule was horrible, anyone saying otherwise is delusional, but, I will be the 1st to admit, they are making great strides to beef things up and take the next step with the elite teams across the state. The future looks very bright in Purple Flash land...:thumb:

My question is how many High School teams across the State could do better? Only a handful at most. They are the only team to beat Lexington Christian, which IMO is the best team in their class. They might be down from their standards, but still a good football team. On any given night, Lexington Catholic has the talent to beat anybody in 4A football this year come playoff time.

I would agree that most would lose to X and Boyle. How does that prove they are a good team? Webster Co would lose to both of those teams, does that make them good? If Lexington Christian is your quality win an your suppose to be a good 4A team then not sure anything else needs to be said. Maybe they will prove me wrong and if so I will be the first to admit. Also, I'm not saying they are awlful, just not the quality opponent they normally are.

Ft. Campbell is better than Bowling Green, BG struggled with Christian Co. honestly Christian should have won that game but you cant turn the ball over like they did and expect to win. Point: Ft. Campbell embarrassed Christian Co. at the scrimmage, the score was 20-0 before Christian Co. even got a first down. I wish there was no classes and there was only one trophy at the end of the year, So I could see HIGHLANDS and FT CAMPBELL get it on in BOWLING GREEN and the great X, and Trinity watching from the bleachers.
