Not scoring right before the half really comes back to bite the Cats. Congrats to the Golden Eagles on the win. Hopefully the Cats will bounce back.

Congrat to JC on the win :thumb:.

Needless to say this one suprised me. I believe the Tomcats will regroup nd come back strong to finish the season.

I'll have my crow with a little sweet and sour sauce please.:sssh::D

It does sound like this was a great game between two very evenly matched teams. Ashland just happened to play a weaker schedule than Johnson Central, allowing them to come into the game undefeated and fool some of us prognosticators! The severe beatings Johnson Central took at the hands of Boyle County and Bell County earlier in the season just highlights the huge difference between good teams like Ashland and Johnson Central and GREAT teams like Boyle, Bell, and Highlands, which one of these two teams will likely get to see in a few weeks. Congratulations to Johnson Central, though. I hope Ashland can finish out their season strong.

Boy I was wrong on this one, congrats to JC, this is a major blow to Ashland.

I wouldn't categorize it as a major blow. It may just mean that they have to play Highlands one week earlier. :scared:

They must playing much better than they were in the beginning of the season.

Leatherneck was at the game. I can't wait to read his thoughts on the game. Plus, I can't wait to see what he has in store for Ram.

Didn't someone on here say that Ashland would win the District?

I'm sure there were several. That's what this message board is all about. For people to post their opinions.

Congratulations to Johnson Central. The Eagles did what they had to do, when they had to do it.

No excuses for Ashland…they had many, many chances to win this game but came up short.

Painter, what was the big difference in the two halfs for Ashland? Did Ashland make some adjustments at half time, or did the Tomcats just play that poorly in the first half?

Just getting home from the game.

Congratulations to Johnson Central! You played a good game and did what you needed to do to win. We didn’t – plain and simple.

JC’s QB, Hall was very good tonight - he always had a clutch play when it was needed. I also thought Ousley #44 was a difference maker on the line.

Ashland’s Trent Hardy seemed to nursing an ankle/leg injury. Does anyone know anything about that?

I really dont want to come off making any excuses because there arent any. Central wanted this game more at critical times.

Matney used all three timeouts early in the 1st quarter...it was clear JC wanted to set the tone of this game and they did it.

To Ashland's credit, they came out in the 3rd qtr and played like we are accustomed to seeing...took the lead, but seemed to simply take thier collective foot off the gas.

Hand it to JC though...as I said earlier...the Eagles did what they had to do.
