racer4life Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 Lewis County has done it again! There was a monster buck killed on the WMA in the St. Paul area last weekend that grossed 211" and netted 193" typical. I wouldn't have belived it if my friend wasn't present during the measuring process, he says it is truely an awesome animal. It had 18" of deductions and still nets 193". This will be the new state record P&Y buck after the 60 day drying period. It was taken by a hunter (who's name hasn't been released) from Ohio. The article and pictures should hit the net soon. Congrats to the hunter who took this buck of a lifetime.

oldonetechnique Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 Whats the story on this deer with the shot and the long recovery? details?
woodsrider Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 Whats the story on this deer with the shot and the long recovery? details? From what I have read he shot it and didn't find it for two weeks. Not sure why or how he ended up finding it though.
oldonetechnique Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 Then I would call this a "die" not a kill....
woodsrider Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 Just read an update on this one. The hunter poached this deer in Adams Co. Ohio and then checked it in as if it were killed in KY. He has plead guilty to this.
