Congratulations to Loan Oak

LO looked good on both sides of the ball. Pass protection was great. Run defense was exceptionally good. Now onto district. It shouldn't take much to get the Flash up for their trip to Calloway next week!

I said Purple Flash by 3 TDs; they sure did better than that. I think that as long as Lone Oak can play in decent weather conditions their offense is impossible to stop. I am thinking a 4A title in the making for Western Kentucky this year!! I wish FC would get Lone Oak back on the schedule. We could have had some star-studded and explosive games the last three seasons.

LO has a great shot this year, but will probably have to beat ACS who knocked them out last year. LO can do it, but they need to take care of business in the district to gain home field advantage throughout the playoffs. LO always wants to put a hurt on Calloway. Calloway will be as ready as they can be and that could be dangerous. Lots of Oaker fans would love to see Willis go 0-4 against the Flash for his career! I don't want to get too far out in front, but it would be sweet to see LO lay some smack on Hopkins Central in 2 weeks, as revenge for last year's regular season hiccup!

That is probably one of the biggest compliments FC has received this year! Even after Mr. Football Corey Robinson and Jamarielle Brown have moved on to the next level the Flash continue to put big numbers on the board. I am impressed!

For years and years Pad Tilghman was the biggest and best school Mccracken Co had to offer, but, as with alot of areas, the inner city schools enrollment has been on the decline while the suburban area has grown and enrollment increased...Lone Oak's now the biggest school in McCracken and they're in the process of building a new state of the art school which will likely spike the enrollment even more. The open enrollment they initiated a few yrs back has also added to Lone Oaks success. That and finally producing a winning program after yrs of mediocraty has all attributed to the Purples success... I look for them to continue to be a solid program for yrs to come...They seem to be getting alot of the areas good athletes that in yrs past may have attended PT...Regardless, they got it going on right now and good luck to them the rest of the year...

Lone Oak is not building a new school, but it is McCracken Co. who is building a new school that will consolidate Lone Oak, Heath, & Reidland High Schools into one school for grades 10-12.

Nope ... plans are for a consolidated school.

Tilghman's current problems have little to do with anyone else in the county. It's more of an internal issue.
