Not much difference from last year after looking at KHSAA site. They were 1-4 last year at this point. Actually, looks like they started 1-7 last year. And that was with the last coach being so smart and using the A-11 offense. Whoa, things must be crumbling there.

Coach Collins will get them together...Rome wasn't built in a day...

The table is set for the Raiders to have a strong end-of-season run, although Carroll will certainly be a difficult battle for the rebuilding Raiders. I'm sure Coach Collins would like to see a bit more life out of the passing game, to take some pressure off the running game. The defensive strategy for the opposition shouldn't be too hard to figure out right now...

I see from an above poster that a new QB will be starting? Injury, or promotion?

Good luck to both teams tonight! Should be a fun one.

(True Blue, where are you? Figured to see some input from you on this one...)

Was told by sources in Bedford that the JV QB will be starting tonight's game.

Actually it was 1-6. And TC last 14 seniors off the team from the season before. Only lost 4 seniors off last years team. Guess we will see how the season plays out.:idunno:

Sorry, 7 total games and a 1-6 record. Looking at the stats on last years KHSAA site, looks like Trimbles 4 seniors that graduated accounted for around 3000 yards of offense and 20+ TDs.

Do not know about that. One was the center and one never played much. ONe was QB and he was pretty good.

I would assume young teams that lose 14 seniors get better as the year goes along. That may be the reason that TC won 3 out of the last 4.

I guess we will see how the season pans out for the Raiders. Best of luck to them.

"Rome was not built in a day" Dont understand that one? TC has most of there players back from last year and have gotten some more athletes out that did not play last year.

ColonelMike is just trying to be positive for someone who has Oldham County ties. Doing what broadcasters do best. :thumb:

I HAVE been accused of being an incurable optimistic, and I plead guilty. :D

My "Rome" comment was simply meant to acknowledge that there's a new coach in town. I don't care who you have back, a new coach typically means a new philosophy, new scheme, new practice approach - everything.

And I try to remain upbeat on my broadcasts. Sorry; it's a "failing" of mine.

But you lost me with the comment regarding my Oldham County ties... I guess the reference was to me not being in the TC community and seeing the team every week? (i.e., "...trying to be positive, as an 'outsider looking in'"???) :idunno: Certainly, I don't see the Raiders every week. But I know what happens when a new coach arrives. The first year isn't always wine and roses.

Again, good luck to both teams! This should be a fun "border war"!

Carroll in a close one.

28-21

Five seniors, including the quarterback.

I believe True Blue and Gold has given up on us for the year. Last week Michael Edens took most of the snaps however this week I believe it will be the sophomore Skiler Alexander behind center. Good Luck Raiders!

True Blue and Gold never gives up on the Raiders. I just don't like to "play along" with some that want to drag other teams through the mud.
