Due to a scheduling mix up with Fox Sports, this game is being played on Friday night at Conner. Originally, it was to be played on Thursday night and be on TV for the high school game of week. Fox sports double scheduled games.

Thanks for the info. And I am not saying Boones running game is better than S.Ks. But for people saying stopping Boones running game is easy. Thats Nuts!

I'll take Conner by a Stephens field goal - Conner 24 Boone 21.

Quainoo made all state because he had an all state offensive line and a bazillion carries last year. Unfortunately all the mileage caught up with him later in the season and he broke down at an inopportune time. Meanwhile Simpson picked his team up and carried them on his back to Papa Johns. Ask any experience D-back who they would rather have to tackle to save a game. Simpson - much bigger, faster, stronger and just as agile.

Quainoo wasn't hurt at the end of the season but rather in the middle. He still led the state in rushing yards despite missing three games. He's bigger and stronger this year. Boone folded last year because their QB was hurt and missed the final six games. Miles Simpson is a load and truly a gifted back and deserving of any praise that comes his way. Boone did not have a single lineman with any state or even regional honor awards last year. I'll pick Boone by two touchdowns this week, 35-21.

This will be an interesting matchup, SK and Ryle seem to be on track for the 1/2 seed but a BC win has to put them back into the conversation. A Conner loss could lead to the 4th seed and a 1st round matchup with St. X. I don't know what to think about Boone at this point, they were beaten soundly by better teams, but did just handle Campbell team that had some key injuries. One would think that Conner has to be doing some soul searching this week, and I expect West to have a very good game.

Seeding in 6A is going to be SO critical this year. Whoever comes out as the #1 seed wouldn't have to play St. X until the third round. Eventually you HAVE to meet up with them, but might as well play as long as you can without having to do so.

I agree Coop, I'd much rather play them in round three. It may not make a bit of difference but by week three, you should have a bit of confidence going into that type of game.

I like Conner by 14.

I once was a Boone County Rebel but now a Conner Cougar fan just like Conners Head Coach, last weeks lost is in the past it may just be what they needed, look for a battle in Hebron . Conner 27 Boone 21

Boone didn't impress me much against Highlands, but Conner REALLY didn't impress me much against Simon Kenton last week. I'm going to go with Boone 28-27.:idunno:

I always like a team coming off of a good ole' fashion butt whippin vs. a team coming off of a comfortable win. Will go with the home team in a close one on HC night. I think the Conner team is going to have a major chip on their shoulder, and should come out fighting in this one. Will be interesting to see how they respond. Conner by 4 in a comeback.

Could weather play a factor? I just got finshed watching the weather channel. They are calling for rain Friday. Dose this help Boone? What do you think?

Without question. Muddy field favors the better running game, and that would be Boone.

I can almost guarantee Quainoo is faster, stronger, and more agile than Simpson, he just lacks size. He also, sadly, is not very committed to the sport. But I heard he was hurt and didn't practice all week? This would be a huge loss for Boone.

Connor's O-line needs work so if Boone's D-line can penetrate and contain West than Boone's DB's will handle Connor's recievers. Campbell County and Connor both play spread offenses and Boone's defense did a good job last week. I predict a very emotional game for both teams.

Pretty even poll at this point, 30/30. Bad weather should bode well for Conner, but West can be very difficult to stop in the running attack as well.
