Philly's D lit it up last week! Well, I know three of them were the same...Atlanta, Carolina and Tampa. Otherwise, on the road they played Washington, Denver, Kansas City, Chicago and Detroit (three of the worst defenses in the NFL). At home they faced San Francisco, Minnesota, Oakland, San Diego, and Green Bay. Just to show the difference between the divisional opponents... Home - 62.8%, 320 ypg (8.5 ypa), 9 TD, 2 Int Away - 53.5%, 316 ypg (6.6 ypa), 4 TD, 7 Int Interestingly enough, if you look back prior to '08, you'll find the exact opposite with Brees. In '06 and '07, Brees fared far better on the road. His combined stats for those two seasons... Home - 66.6%, 260 ypg (7.3 ypa), 21 TD, 19 Int Away - 65.5%, 293 ypg (7.4 ypa), 33 TD, 10 Int Go figure.
September 17, 200917 yr Here's a random thought. And although if it has to happen to the guy, this is the best week for my boys, but I hate that Urlacher is gonna donate another season. I love watching that cat play football. Shame really.

I love watching that cat play football. Shame really. It takes a little away from the the seaosn when the stars go down for the year. It's bad enough when guys like Polamalu are out for a few weeks. Brady's injury in the opener last year put a huge damper on the '08 season. Losing the biggest star in the game just deflates the whole league, IMO.
