cardinalsvoice Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 Per the KHSAA: Game Times for 2009 Commonwealth Gridiron Bowl FinalizedMonday, August 31, 2009 4:45 PM From: "Elden May, KHSAA" Add sender to Contacts FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: AUGUST 31, 2009 GAME TIMES FOR 2009 COMMONWEALTH GRIDIRON BOWL FINALIZED Game times for the 2009 Commonwealth Gridiron Bowl were approved the KHSAA Board of Control at a special August meeting. The action begins on Friday, Dec. 4 at 11 a.m. central time with the Class 4A championship. The Class 2A championship follows at 3 p.m. with the Class 5A championship game scheduled to kick off at 7 p.m. Saturday’s contests will also kick off at 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. The Class 3A championship game will be played first, followed by the Class 1A title game. Yes...Papa John's did not bid to renew the contract with the KHSAA and Western Kentucky did...so for the next couple of years the state finals will be held at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green

Hopefully the Falcons will be making a return appearance while it is so close to home.

FalconBacker Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 Thanks for the update. I was expecting another early Saturday morning for 2A. Really like the middle of the afternoon on Friday for 2A! Much better than the 11 AM start in Louisville, which was really a 10 AM start for those of us in the central time zone.
