Great game for Hudson last night, and even though the Rockies won at least the Giants lost which helped the Braves move a step closer to 2nd place.

 

 

Tonight the Braves will have Vazquez going on the mound, hopefully the Braves take another step forward in sweeping the Marlins and then the Rockies and Giants both lose.

 

Best case scenario for the Braves tonight would result in

Prado is at 3rd, while Infante is in for him at 2nd. Church is at center. Hope McLouth can come back soon. He's a much better option at the plate than Church is. A better fielder as well.

I believe he was in a jam in the 1st, but struck out every batter that he did get out.

Vazquez is 2nd in the NL in strikeouts I believe.

Well in a strange turn of events the Braves are now just trailing 7-6....Chipper Jones hit a bases clearing 1 out double to bring the Braves within one run.

 

On to the bottom of the 7th.

Florida just won 8-7.

Braves squandered a lot of opportunities tonight, a great comeback to even make it to the bottom of the 9th but this game should have been the Braves.

 

Hopefully they win tomorrow so they take 3 of 4 instead of just a split.
