I think Milan won the varsity 6 TD's to 5 TD's but I am not sure. It may have been tied. This was a very good scrimmage to watch. Hard hitting and very clean. It has been 2 years since I saw a Mayfield team play as hard as they did tonight. The backs looked good except for a couple of turnovers and the line looked good also. They have some work to do but the line is getting there. We are gonna have to work on pass defense a little and QB keepers. I really liked what I saw tonight. All of the coaches were smiling when it was done. Hunter Kingston, Taylor Sullivan, Jansen Jones, Andrew Schultz and Jonathan Earls played a heck of a game. I left a few out and I am sorry for that, I just don't know all of their names. Rump ran the ball better than I have ever seen him before. Milan has a very good team. Jonathan Jackson did not play. He was out of town.

Good to hear man, I was hoping somebody that went there would give us an update on this scrimmage. How did Tyrese do? I think that Rump was pretty hungry after having to sit out last season, I think he will have a good year this season. Good to hear about the line, I have heard they have put a lot of time in, sounds like its paying off. What about Luke Guhy, did he get any reps in? Just wondered if we did much passing or was it more of a ground game?

On my way home from the Liberty Bowl last year my wife and I stopped at a Dairy Queen along I-64 around Brownsville, Tennessee. Much of the Milan team was inside and we spoke with several of the kids and coaches. Eventually high school football in Kentucky came up and they mentioned how they scrimmage Mayfield almost every season. To a man, they all spoke of how tough and talented Mayfield always is and how much they enjoy playing against them.

I know that doesn't mean much for this year, but just wanted you Cardinal fans to know that folks in Tennessee recognize your quality program and the good work you do!:thumb:

Luke looked alright. He threw some good looking passes. The running game will be Mayfield's bread and butter.

Looking for Mayfield to be much better and focused this season. They could go very deep.

Jonathan was with me. He played basketball, yet it sometimes looked like football.:thumb:
