Don't bother posting any Lil Wayne garbage. Hey man, download all The Game, that you can find! If you like Slim Thug, his latest CD "Boss of All Bosses" is very, very good man. Just curious though, Hip Hop and Country? I can appreciate the taste in music, that's just kind of a wide range in music. Cool though.:thumb:
July 9, 200917 yr Author ^ Yeah it is very odd. Early in my teens I was all about country and slowing went to Hip Hop and now I get sick of Rap a lot so I turn to country when that happens.

Don't bother posting any Lil Wayne garbage. I recommend "Honkytonk Heroes" by Waylon Jennings and "Red-Headed Stranger" by Willie Nelson. They're two of the greatest country albums ever, and do a great job of showing how awful the stuff is that tries to pass as country music nowadays.

I can certainly agree with both of those.....especially Waylon's " Honkytonk Heroes". As for todays country, I agree with you on most of it being junk. I do like traditional country so I would go with Alan Jackson or George Strait as far as todays music. Daryle Singletary is also very good if you can find any of his stuff. I haven't heard anything much from him......country radio I guess has considered him "too country" :ohbrother:, much like Haggard, Williie,Waylon, G. Jones along with several "real" country music artist.
July 9, 200917 yr I'm not much on Country, but if you like rap, I agree with Cats, The Game and Slim Thug are where it's at for me right now. Also, he's not Lil Wayne-actually I think he's better, but will probably never get the hype-but Drake, Lil Wayne's protege. Ransom and Stunt Hard both pretty good. And it's kind of hard to really listen to a lot of the newer rap today without hearing Wayne on the track. He's everywhere. Maybe some old school Dre-the Chronic and Chronic 2001-and N.W.A.

July 9, 200917 yr Get any cd by Justin Townes Earle, Chris Knight, or Hayes Carll...your life will forever be changed. Probably the three best country artists going on right now. If you are looking for certain cd's I would recommend these: Chris Knight - Chris Knight Midnight at the Movies - Justin Townes Earle Trouble in Mind - Hayes Carll As for songs...I'll post a few videos to check out.
