July 9, 200917 yr ^^^ Some what. I don't know though, Texas won their game despite being in a bowl they didn't want to be in. Oklahoma held their own against the SEC's best, and with a break here or there may have won the game. The 3 drives they were stopped on in the first half should have resulted in 17 points, but they can away empty handed (twice at the one yard line after driving down the field) if they convert those they might be the defending champions. Texas Tech was exposed, but what did you expect? OK State is a product of the style of play in the Big 12. Honestly, the Pac 10 was underrated last year, and the team that I thought was the best in the country (USC) suffered because of it. Not one of those teams you listed was "impressive" in their bowl game.

They defended UF better than any team in the country had, even Ole Miss who beat them. Their offense was impressive at times, but simply couldn't outrun an SEC defense. After the way that OSU has been exposed by the SEC, I think Oklahoma actually staying in the game (controlling the 1st half), is pretty impressive. They didn't win, but I thought going into the game that UF might beat them by 30. Texas wasn't impressive but they won. OSU matches up better with BIG 12 teams obviously, and if the Bucks can match up with up with you speed wise Tressell can keep them in the game. Impressive, maybe not, exposed I don't know about those two.

For the longest time the Big 12 was thought to be the best because they had Texas Tech and Oklahoma State in the Top 10 right there with the other two. I thought the Big 12 was exposed a ton in those game. Oklahoma was the most impressive and they lost.
July 9, 200917 yr ^^^ True, but if you look at it the PAC 10 was as impressive as any conference in the Bowls. The Bowls are such a wash for the BCS schools if they aren't in a title game, just look at Bama. I don't think Texas Tech was any good though.
