halfback20
For Bowen, Oberto and Kurt Thomas. Great move for the Spurs imo. LINK
HammerTime
I have a feeling Bowen might end up back on the Spurs.

ColonelCrazy
This makes the Spurs a much better team, but they need some young talent. I cannot stand Bruce Bowen.
cch5432
Awesome. One final run before TD (and Popp, and Tony, and many longtime Spurs employees) leave....
halfback20
Awesome. One final run before TD (and Popp, and Tony, and many longtime Spurs employees) leave.... Why would they leave? Timmy has a few years left in him. Popp and Tony have no reason to leave do they?

Jefferson adds some more youth and skill to their lineup. They still have George Hill, who I think will be good, and he's young.
Clyde
Now the Spurs have absolutely no one who can attempt to slow down Kobe.
halfback20
Now the Spurs have absolutely no one who can attempt to slow down Kobe. I wouldn't be surprised if Bowen is back, but this move definitely helps a ton even if Bowen isn't back. Jefferson can score 20 PPG...Bowen was around 6 PPG . A line up of Parker Ginobili Jefferson Duncan should be great. As long as they can add a decent center in there.

Great in the regular season or great in the playoffs? We've seen that they are not one in the same.
HammerTime
I wouldn't say great. Who knows how healthy Manu will be.
halfback20
Great in the regular season or great in the playoffs? We've seen that they are not one in the same. I think the Spurs big 3 (Parker, Ginobili, Duncan) have proven they can win in the playoffs. Ginobili wasn't around this year for the playoffs, which is a big reason why they couldn't get out of the 1st round.
halfback20
I wouldn't say great. Who knows how healthy Manu will be. The Spurs were a pretty good team this year without Jefferson. Adding him only makes them better. And I don't think they're done adding new players. I think they will get a decent center to start for them as well. Clyde
One downside for SA is that they are now out of the big 2010 FA market.
sweet16
One downside for SA is that they are now out of the big 2010 FA market. Is that a worry with Duncan, Parker, Manu, and now Jefferson with them?
