June 10, 200917 yr IMO no way we see Stasburg in the majors this year. If theya re going to spend that much money on him to not let him develop in the minors, bring him straight up and throw his arm out and never reach potential. No point in bringing him up when the season is already hopeless for the Nationals. David Price kind of deal, DO NOT RUSH IT!!!!!!!!

David Price put the Rays in the World Series. If they need to sell some tickets don't be surprised if he comes up in September.

I am saying the Rays did the right thing. The used him perfectly last year, then started him in the minors this year, not rushing him, that is what the Nats need to do.

June 10, 200917 yr My guess is Strasberg doesn't get signed until the deadline of Aug 15th. No way he starts out at Washington. If he doesn't get started in the minors until mid-August we MAY see him in a Sept call-up. Maybe. The Nats lack of success will probably dictate a premature call-up. Strasburg has already thrown 109 innings this year. I can't imagine the Nationals will want to throw him more than 70-75 in pro ball this year ... maybe even less. My guess is, assuming he signs, that he starts out in the minors and is called up in September.
