I'm watching it on the internet. Check out the link HT provided earlier on mlb.tv.

Wow, check out Stephen Strasburg's stats....

13-1 1.32 ERA this season, 195 K in 15 starts

10+ strikeouts in 13 of 15 starts.

I think we'll see him this year

10th overall pick - Washington Nationals (again)

Drew Storen - RHP from Stanford University

Reliever who can come quick - plus FB & Plus Slider - Could potentially start, but most likely a reliever & somebody who can be signed quickly.

6'2'' 175 pounds. Kid has said he wants to be a closer.

The guy the Reds took was 16-1 at ASU.

Anyone else think there is a chance we see Strasburg this year?

I think we will, I don't know how he'll be though. Tony Gwenn seems to like though, said he was the best pitcher he's ever seen at that level.

Nats stocking up on the pitchers, they sure do need it too. I too wonder if Strasburg will see the farm system, or if he'll just be called up without it.

11. Colorado Rockies - Tyler Matzek - LHP from CA HS; 6'3'' 210

12. KC Royals - Aaron Crow RHP - 6'2'', 205; Previously drafted by Nationals last year in 1st round.

13. Oakland A's - Grant Green, SS from Southern Cal

Tall, athletic shortstop; 6'3'' 180 lbs. Previously drafted by San Diego in '06 in 14th round; good hitter who can run; solid package player

No way Strasburg doesn't at least spend a few weeks in the minors.

I think there's a chance he'll be up in September. Too bad the Nationals won't be playing much later than that.

I disagree, whether it's the right decision or not, I think the Nats will call him up; perhaps just to put butts in the seats. When's the last time a prospect like this has been publicized in the Majors?

Looks like he has a good sinker which is what the Reds are looking for in their starting pitchers for GABP...Leake that is.

My guess is Strasberg doesn't get signed until the deadline of Aug 15th. No way he starts out at Washington. If he doesn't get started in the minors until mid-August we MAY see him in a Sept call-up. Maybe.

The Nats lack of success will probably dictate a premature call-up.

What happened with pick Reds were supposed to get at #43 (comp for Affledt)? Just seen where they took Billy Hanilton SS from a high school in Mississippi with pick #57.
