Braves have a big time power prospect in the minors he is about 18 can't remember his name. Begins with a J, I believe.

I dunno about being 18, but the Braves have 2 big time offensive players in Jeff Locke and Jason Heyward. Heyward has some pop and is lightning quick.

Heyward thats him he will be 20 in a month in 3 months.

Heyward will be up by next year IMO if the Braves struggles in the outfield continue.

If they are contending and still have a unproductive outfield then he could be part of the September call ups.

If the Braves are able to sign or trade for some outfield help then he'll be seasoned some more in the minors. But he has great potential and is a rising star.

For the Reds to get him it would take Homer Bailey and probably 2 other upper-shelf prospects.

If they are contending would that be a bad thing?

I'd say for the Braves to get Holliday it would take 1 of Kelly Johnson/Martin Prado/Omar infante/ and Kris Medlen, and a lower level prospect.

Braves would probably try to dangle Francouer if his struggles continue. Schafer was sent to the minors today as well.

Braves will have the pitching that most teams look for towards the deadline to try and acquire a big bat. They are said to be trying to trade Vazquez or at least shopping him.

I figured this from the beginning that even though he had 3 years left on his contract that the Braves should use him as bait because of Hanson coming up and Hudson coming off the DL in late July or early August. Braves have some pitching to spare in order to acquire an outfield bat to help them.

Walt has already stated that he would make a move if they are in contention to try and improve this team.

And although Holliday would be a great addition, all things equal, I'd prefer to have a healthy Votto first. I know that's beyond our control, however, I think that if he can't sustain a full season, the Reds will struggle to contend.

I don't want the Braves to trade Vazquez. I hope Medlen improves so they could get something for him.

The Braves should trade Vazquez, for sure!

Care to explain why?

He's been very good for them thus far, and Hudson won't be back for a while.

I say keep Vazquez unless you think you can get a very good outfielder in return to replace Francouer (and then trade Francouer for a decent pitcher).

That won't happen. Francouer has very little, to no, trade value. They'd be more likely to just release him.
