Most coaches do have twists and turns when coaching , Not everyone is lucky as Charlie Coles.. Why is that so strange and twisted, and why do you not like him so much,

Unbelievable, where in any of that did you get that I don't like Coach Hinson?:irked::ohbrother:

Unbelievable Bearfacts would even make a statement of that nature. Guess, thats just the cold hard Bearfacts!!!!!!!

Augusta does have some really good young talent coming up. Some pretty good 10th graders, freshman, and a pretty good group of 8th graders.

Coach Hinson doesn't have to worry about money.:thumb:[/quote

This is about coaching not money, stay on the subject!!:thumb:

We all know that the only reason coach Hinson left St PAT,is because of the lack of money,he would earn, after they done away with his teaching job.If I know you the way I think I do,you to know that.Jason may bring his coaching ability to Augusta next season, but his heart will be with his former players,at least for a few more years.Honestly,Jason is only a degree away from landing a big time head coaching position. And IMO,it won't be at Augusta.

I would question that heart thing???

I would agree with Tubbycat, while its always tough to leave young student athletes when things are not in your hands to control for the reason to exit, when October rolls around, his heart will be poured into the Augusta Panther basketball program because you are only as successful as to how much you pour your heart into something. Anything short of that is not what Coach Hinson is about. He left because a coaching stipend and elementary AD will not put the meat and potatoes on the table for the family, its called stability in the job and it wasn't at his former school.

As far as i know, Coach Hinson didn't have a teaching job at St. Pat. He has been taking courses to finish his degree. The only jobs he held were elementery AD, PE proctor and Head Coach of High school Basketball, from what I understand. I could be wrong. He may have finished the courses needed to get a teaching certificate, but the last i knew he was still taking courses to get it.

I think there is no doubt at all that Coach Hinson cares deeply about his players at St. Patrick. However, once October 15th rolls around and everyone gets going for real, he will pour his heart, soul, and his passion into the Panthers program and that can only be a good thing for the program and the players!

I believe that is correct and that Coach Hinson is still working toward that certificate!

He was the PE teacher at Sant Patrick. You do not have to have a degree to teach at a private school! Saint Pat did away with the PE program, so that left him with a huge pay gap! And he his taking classes as we speak!
