Whitley lost to a pretty weak McCreary Central yesterday. Just when many thought they had turned a corner, they lose to (11-11) McCreary Central who had early in the season, been beaten by NL, Corbin, SL, and only beat Williamsburg 2-1.

Not the best game for the Colonels.

Who pitched for Whitley?

It took South Laurel 8 innings to beat McCreary Central.

:thumb: However, I don't think that this was his point in posting this. The point is that somebody on here really doesn't like Ledington, and chooses to downplay anything that he does positive, point to any negative and ignore the facts. REMEMBER, that they also said that the only reason that Whitley beat South the first time was that South 'threw off'. Regardless of the fact that Whitley scored 5 runs in the win AND the loss.

Sounds like Whitley couldn't plate enough runs. If they could have scored as much on them as they did South in either of their 2 games, they would have won. :sssh:

Don't get me wrong, I want South to do well. I live in London and the 2 teams I want to do well are North Laurel and South Laurel. However, it really bothers me when someone has an obvious agenda or vendetta and continually want to push it. The fact is that Whitley is a whole lot better than they were last year. Same thing happened when Ledington went to Bell. Fact is, he can coach. I am sure South has some losses they would rather forget about. It happens.

I simply stated a score. You all are the ones that can't deal with that score. And for the record, SL is the #1 seed in the district and I assure you, they earned it.

It wasn't that you simply stated a score, because you most certainly did not 'simply state a score'. The fact that McCreary beat Whitley is not in question. It has been the digs you try to get on Ledington and Whitley at any opportunity. To simply state a score is: McCreary 3 Whitley 2.

As far as South Laurel getting the #1 seed, you are darned right they earned it. No doubt. I want the two Laurel County teams to do well, always, but look back at the comments you have made about Whitley the past few weeks, and you will see where I was coming from. Rob is a Laurel County boy who is doing very well as a coach, turning around 2 straight programs from losing seasons, to potential regional contenders. That cannot be denied.

Here are some of your quotes:

And like I said in another thread, Whitley has lost 8 games. That's not too good at this point in the season. Looks like Ledington is doing okay--not good and especially not great.

Now...is there any doubt that SL through off yesterday? See, people that don't know the game, don't really catch onto that kind of stuff. They think they if they win, they are better, regardless of who the opposing team actually pitched against them.

WC got embarrassed tonight. Enough said.

BTW, on the last quote, you ignored that Whitley scored 5 runs in both games against South. The real difference wasn't that South 'threw off', but that South did a great job in plating a ton of runs in the 2nd game.

It wasn't the score being posted my friend, ... it has been the obvious disdain you have for Ledington. I am by no means a Whitley County fan. In fact, I have never liked Whitley since I played football against them in the early 80's. But facts are facts. He has taken over teams with losing records and turned them into winners before the end of his first season there. THAT is coaching.

McCreary Central is not a bad team. Great? No. Bad? No.

The Raiders could be a very good team if they could cut down their errors. For years, that's been the stumbling point of the Raiders. Their hitting is great, and their pitching is very nice. They just can't seem to cut down on errors.

If I was bashing anyone, I do apologize. It was not my intent.
