X-rays and a CT scan of Ankiel's head, neck and back were all negative and showed no fractures, team spokesman Brian Bartow said. nWo Posted May 6, 2009 Author Posted May 6, 2009 Cards lose second game in a row 10-7 to the Philies. Albert Pujols, Ryan Ludwick, and Yadier Molina all hit homers. Pittsburgh comes into St. Louis for a two game series starting tonight.

nWo Posted May 7, 2009 Author Posted May 7, 2009 St. Louis beat the Pirates 4-2. Albert Pujols went 4-4 with a home run. Chris Duncan had a two run triple in the Cards' three run forth. This breaks the Cardinals three game losing streak.

Two hit batsmen highlighted a four-run fifth inning as St. Louis beat Pittsburgh, 5-2, to seal a two-game sweep at Busch Stadium on Thursday afternoon. Jason LaRue's home run put the Redbirds ahead, 2-1, to open the fifth inning. After two singles, Pirates starter Ross Ohlendorf hit Albert Pujols to load the bases, then drilled Ryan Ludwick to bring a run home.
