The Derek Smith 16 U team just won the 16 U division of the String Music Tourney in Nashville, defeating the Nashville Celtics.

I got to hang out with our boys from GRC this weekend and I had a blast. These three boys Cory, Jaylan and Christian are crazy together and they are very respectful young men. I've never heard so much yes sir and no sir's in my life. These boys don't know any strangers because they make freinds so quick. Very proud of our boys this weekend. Their repesenting GRC well.

One thing I can say about our GRC boys, they are a class act on and off the court. RSF, glad you had a great time this weekend, wish I could have been there...I did get calls on updates. One good thing about AAU is that you do make alot of friends across the state. Enjoy these times, I remember when my son played AAU and also the Pepsi golf tours.... made some great friends and memories.

I would like to give Coach Jeff Harney a shout out because I witnessed a little of what he went through this weekend with some of his players. Coach I think you handle the situation with class and for that to me your a class act. I'm glad that your coaching my son this summer. Thanks!:notworthy:

I was very suprised to see how easily the Shining Star team handled the Players this weekend. Were the Players at full strength?

 

Shining Star won the 17u and 15u brackets at the AAU Super Regional in Cincinnati. Who won the 16u??

3 of the 5 Shining Star teams in the U17, 16-team field made it to the quarterfinals, and the finals were between 2 SS teams.
