Cawoodball player Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 There is no way Josh Crawford of Corbin should not be on this list. The kid had 33 points and nine rebounds, possibly the best individual performance of the tournament. First round loss or not, he should have made it.
DragonFire Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 Guys, only teams that make it to the quarterfinals and beyond are represented.

kyhoopsfan Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 I have a question because I'm just curious.................One of Central's best players was Ridge Wilson (great name by the way). During the tournament, he wore number 42. When they started the Holmes game, he was wearing 13?? Can anyone tell me why? Then, during the game, he got blood on his jersey and had to change his jersey. The new jersey he put on was 42?? I am not sure what was going on here. Was this done to confuse Holmes? Also, I thought if you changed numbers during a game, it was a technical. Would appreciate it if someone could enlighten me. As a side note, Ridge Wilson is a "MAN". When he and JJ were going for a loose ball, he pushed JJ aside like a stuffed animal, and JJ must have slid 20 feet. Being a UK fan, I can't wait to see him play linebacker for the CATS! BTW, Congrats to the Holmes Bulldogs. It was a great experience to be at that game. I predicted they would win it when I saw them man handle Scott Co. at the BOK center early on. They have a tremendous team. Great season gentleman.
Uphill Battle Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 Personally, I thought Tim Patterson did enough to earn a spot on the team, though I don't know which Central player he would've replaced.
GatorFan Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 You are allowed to change jerseys if you have blood on it and it will not come out. It does not matter what number you begin the game with as long it is in the official book.
doomer Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 Taylor Botkin had a better tournament for Catholic than Vee Sanford.
kywldcat01 Posted March 23, 2009 Author Posted March 23, 2009 Taylor Botkin had a better tournament for Catholic than Vee Sanford. Maybe in the second game, but not the first game. Sanford had a huge game against Bowling Green.

Wyrostek Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 It looks like they uded a quota system rather than picking the best performers. Each team in the championship got 3, each losing semi-finalist got 2, and each losing second rounder got 1. I guess the only question is whether or not the individual coaches choose who from their team fills their applicable quota as you usually see in the districts. Regardless, it doesn't promote choosing the most deserving.
bigmarc78 Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 Taylor Botkin had a better tournament for Catholic than Vee Sanford. Negative, with out Sanford taking over vs Bowling Green late, they would have never made it to the quarterfinals. He finished that one with 28, 17 in the second half.
bigmarc78 Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 I think Brandon Housely and Jerimiah Johnson made a case too, but it is hard to pick anyone from Holmes to take off, Elijah, Rico, and Jamel played extremely well this whole tournament. JJ a.k.a mr double double is a stat sheet stuffer and Brandon Housely stepped it up to another level this tournament.
