South Laurel 81 Middlesboro 68

Featured Replies

Matt St. John had 24 points and 32 rebounds.

That's right, 32 rebounds.

Zack Smith had 33 boards and 12 rebounds for South.

Middlesboro's trio of Brown, Smith and Green shot a combined 17-of-56.

This is the best game I've seen South play this season.

Middlesboro shot 10-of-24 from free throw line and South only had 10 attempts. South also had 19 assists compared to Middlesboro's 4.

Matt Watkins was key in the win, he hit three threes early that allowed St. John to open up inside.

Yeah, he was dominant out there.

Hard to beat a team when two guys have a huge double-double. 24 and 32 for St. John and just as impressive 33 and 12 for Smith, South plays their best game at the right time. Tuesday night could be crazy.

Nice win SL :thumb:

It always seems that SL peaks in the district/region tourneys. Impressive win for the Cards.

Steve and Roscoe are an awfully tough duo come tournament time. They have over 1,000 wins between them as head coaches.
