What? A regional tournament held in a centrally located high school gymnasium that happens to be the largest one in the region? Say it an't so!

 

Henry County is typically not a factor in region (although they are this year), so there aren't complaints about who hosts the tournament. If they were the region favorite year in and year out, I would venture to say other teams in the 8th might want to make changes.

A scoreboard that shows fouls would help alot.

How about 3 toilets and 2 small urinals for every man in the place to use. I have no idea what it would be like for the women. The lighting is better but not great. The floor is slick. The scoreboard is outdated. The only teams that are centrally located are in the southwestern part of the region. I wonder what would happen if some of the NKY teams might suggest having the 8th region tournament at the Bank of Ky Center. This would be a great place to watch the tourney and we would see how all the teams within 25 minutes of Henry County would like the drive.

I would venture to say they would not like it, or agree with it unless Henry became a factor year in and year out. The 8th is a great atmosphere for regional play, can remember watching games on the front row of a very crowded gym.

I wouldn't mind watching the 8th at the BOK. I am about 25 minutes from HC. I like the kids to be able to experience the college floor and all that goes with it.

Henry County is the best place for the 8th region tournament to be held. I love the atmosphere and they do a great job.
