Which part?

Without them the sport wouldn't exist, as it is. I'm a long way from being wealthy but I can and will pay my way in, although I do have a coaches pass.:ylsuper:

Then why have a pass then? You just cost your school money to get one. Tell them not to waste their money on you.

You're absolutely wrong about assistant coaches and scorekeepers not being necessary for the game to exist, as it is. Otherwise, it's pickup ball and let's not bother with the expense of officials either. I guess that's for another thread, though.

I coached over 20 years in high school and I have what you call a LIFETIME COACHES PASS. The school I coached at closed in the mid 90's.

Thank you for your time. It's an extremely difficult job and I am certain that it wasn't as financially rewarding as it was personally rewarding. :thumb:

How many years did you coach without an assistant or score keeper?

I have a question for those schools who don't honor coaches passes. Do your coaches use their coaches passes when they scout games or attend games for other reasons? I think it is common courtesy, we get in to scout you on a pass and you get in to scout us on a pass.

Good question.

I coached 21 years and had an assistant after the first 12 years and my scorekeeper rode the bus and didn't need a pass. By the way, I drove my own bus. You guys are big time now with more assistants than you have players. Good luck and I'm out of here.:ylsuper:

All I can say is Bracken County will not have to worry about who gets the passes next week.

One good thing about this situation. Bracken County won't have a problem with passes next week.

Guess you are wrong,, Girls are playing...

I usually remain quiet, but this one caught my attention. I did some checking and found out that each school in the 39th district was issued 100 passes. One simple email provided the distribution of passes at BCHS. It was not a secret, but in fact, emailed to ball coaches and cheer coaches, at the very least, maybe more.

Boys Basketball: 15 players, 3 coaches, stats, book, manager, bus driver

Girls Basketball: 15 players, 3 coaches, stats, book, manager, bus driver

Cheerleaders: 19, 2 coaches, 1 bus driver

Announcer, Clock worker (worked boys and girls games at home)

Band: 14, 1 bus driver

Central Office Admin: 3 passes

High School Admin: 3 passes

Site Base members :5

Board Members: 5

1 HS Bookkeeper

Simple email is all it took to get the information requested. This thread has turned into something quite different, though. I don't think you really wanted the info, just wanted to bash your AD, whether info was accurate or not. Sad. Bracken County doesn't need outside enemies, it looks like to me. There are plenty to destroy it from within. That's the real sad part for the kids.

Nice, I also knew how many passes where handed out, but that doesn't mean that's were the passes went. I know of one middle school student that had a Bus Driver pass.:sssh:

That should be ok in my mind, most middle school kids do not have alot of ways of making money like alot of other ticket holders do..

How much do bus drivers make in Bracken County?
