Since there were two stat crews at the game tonight the stats may vary slightly on rebounds, etc but they should be very close. WL Stats showed Euton being nine of 11 from the field including two of three fom the three point line and six of six from the free throw line and 10 rebounds. I believe the other stats had him with 11 rebounds. He logged 29:11 minutes and was only credited with two turnovers. He played within the system and had an excellent outing.

Excuse me, maybe only 3 D1 transfers so far. Rumors of another one next season. And lets not forget the other recent transfers who will be really good (Ivey, Flannery, Barber, Shotwell). 7 transfers in 2 seasons.hmmmmm.......

 

The HC player was just standing there, and the ball had not even been inbounded. Just turned around and shoved him to the floor before the play started. At a minimum, should have been a regular foul on Gelawn. But looked intentional and very hard. Probably should have been a technical and an ejection. Not the first time I have seen Gelawn do this. He did the same thing to Shelvin Mack in the district tournament last year. He's too good of a player to do that kind of thing.

 

Congrats to both teams. Looking forward to watching the 11th region tournament. Should be fantastic.

The refs didn't exactly call a good game for anyone tonight so let's not act like the Guyn play cost Henry Clay the game. This game wasn't as close as the final score indicated anyway, Scott County just got a little lazy late with a comfortable lead.

Anyone have stats for this game ? Getting stats from Scott Co. on here is like pulling Hens teeth !

I am not for sure, but they do kindof look a like. He started. I believe they said he was a sophomore. Hes a very athletic kid.

Euton obviously had a dominating performance. I haven't seen them play this year. Have his numbers been like that all year ? Thanks for the stats.

Henry Clay was down 21 with 3 minutes to go, and mounted a furious comeback.

 

Prince Stewart, Brandon Nichols, Trey Stewart, and Brandon Wilder went on a steal and scoring frenzy to get within 6 with about 30 seconds to go.

 

A couple of controversial calls late that could have made it even closer. Henry Clay got a clean steal and the refs called a jump ball, which went back to SC. Also Gelawn should have received a technical for a flagrant foul late in the game. Before the ball was inbounded he just turned around, grabbed a Henry Clay player and threw him to the court.

 

Scott County is looking really good right now. And well they should with 4-5 D1 transfers on the team. But it will be tough to get out of the 11th (LexCath, Franklin Co, Madison Central, and even Henry Clay again. If they do, then some dangerous teams will probably await them in the sweet 16. (Holmes, Elliott, Shelby Valley, Mason County/Clark.)

How was it a clean steal if two kids were on the ground trying to secure the ball. Also it looked like the Henry Clay player jumped in on top of the play. I know there was not alot of contact on the play, But I have watched a whole lot of officials blow that a foul with minimal contact. I have been told by several officials this year, that is one of the points of emphasis.:thumb:Scott Co got the ball on the play. Henry Clay did NOT get the foul:sssh:
