I have only seen 3 Elliott games this year, but they were a lot of fun. Hoping they can make a big run in the state.

 

Also have seen Shelby Valley play a couple of times. Another very dangerous team to watch.

Wireman--great story. I also will never forget when Maynard hit that three against Mason last year and the buzz all around me in Rupp. Here's hoping for some more electric moments next month in Rupp!!!

 

To me, that moment was as special as any I've see in a basketball arena. It was as if everyone in the arena rose together and gave a standing ovation. I came darn near crying in front of a bunch of strangers :lol:

 

We listened to the radio replay of that game on KHSAA Archives last summer. When Maynard hit that 3 from beyond the hash mark over the outstreatched arms of a charging Darius Miller the exact quote by radio announcer Gary Ball "Are you kidding me" What sent cold chills down your spine was the unbelievable roar of the crowd! You just weren't expecting anything like it. We had to replay it to make sure we just weren't imagining it. One thing you knew almost everyone there was rooting for Elliott & caught up in the moment, but the roar of the crowd was like something you only heard in a magical replay moments of some of the greatest games in sports history. Treat yourself & listen to it someday. That said, however its hard to relive the heartbreak once again.

That exact moment when you heard that roar was one of the most amazing sports memories I have. I remember just looking around the crowd and thinking to myself, "wow."
