Cov Holmes\ Cov Holy Cross Updates

Featured Replies

Early in Q4 and Holmes is in complete control of this one. Holy Cross looks like they are losing their composure.

About 6 minutes to go. Holmes up 35-22 and Holy cross can't hit the broad side of a barn.

Good one. That is John Wenderfer. He has been a ref for a long time. He was a very good basketball player and played for Thomas More.

Striking resemblance...what is the other bald refs name that refs at SOAS on Mt Zion?

If Holmes gives Beechwood this many open looks from 3 point land, Beechwood will knock them down. Holy Cross just missed another wide open 3.

Hard to see but it looks like Ron....can't remember his last name. I call him Mr. Jump Ball. He has the quickest jump ball call in the state. Two opposing players touch the ball and he will blow the whistle.

it's been 35-22 for about 15 minutes

OK, we have now played about half of the 4th quarter and I think the score in this Q is Holmes 1 and Holy Cross 0. This is some uninspired basketball.

HC has scored 6 points in about 10 minutes of 2nd half play

40-22 Holmes.. I wonder what the HC faithful think about this style of play all year

According to the announcer HC dominant inside forces Egan and Volpenhein have now fouled out!

Whew....I have issues. I sat there and watched that game on jumpy TV. Only a parent of a player or someone with issues would sit through that one.

What an awful game to watch and listen to with the 1940s video and audio!!
