Saint Patrick 61 Fleming County 55

Featured Replies

Nice win St. Pat's.

:D Great win and confidence builder for the Saints. Tough to lose a great player in Matt Thompson with his second sprain of the same ankle this year.

St. Patrick made the plays down the stretch, scoring the final 9 points of the game. A trey from Clarke tied it at 55, Yeary with a key steal and layup to make it 57-55, Cropper with two FTs and a layup with time running out by Mason finished the scoring.

Mason with 14 led St. Pat. Biggest crowd-pleaser of the night (excluding the plays at crunch time) was 5 big first-quarter points from Flynn Ashley, getting the start on Senior Night.

Jolly led the Panthers with 18 points.

Always nice to run into a couple of fellow BGPers at the games.:thumb:

Hopefully Thompson will be okay for the district tourney; he will be needed inside for the Saints.

Fleming County finishes the regular season with a record of 9 wins and 17 losses. I would hope the administration at Fleming County will make a coaching change. Records like this just wont cut it.

Sounds like Fleming County and Bracken County are almost identical, right down to the record. Both have good young players that are not reaching their potential. Other than coaching, could the problem be as simple as neither have a true point guard?

I believe Dugan is a true point guard.

I believe Dugan is a true point guard.

The times that I've watched Fleming this year he seemed totally out of control, too many turnovers. The coached benched him after the first quarter of one of those games. Bracken's philosophy is whoever catches the in bounds pass against a press brings it up the court.

He has to try to do too much because there isnt anyone that will come and set screens

A true point guard doesn't need screens. But I still believe Dugan is a very talented Point guard

So are you saying a screen wont help him? Ive watched several games where screens shouldve been set and werent. They wouldve sure freed him up to where he wouldnt have to force a bad pass or a bad shot.
