I see a five win maximum but more likely 2-3.

Will the new stadium be done in time for the season or will they be playing some games else where?

Coach Campbell explained to me that the Stadium would be new. Not sure if the plans have changed but he told me a few months ago that they would move out part of the hill on the far side of the field in order to move the entire stadium over in that direction away from the soccer field. There will be a new building between the soccer field and the stadium that I believe will be for all Scott athletes. It will have an area for all athletes to lounge and hang out among other things. The current Eagles Nest will stay but be remodeled or expanded.

I haven't talked to coach in awhile and my info came during last football season, so some of the plans may have changed since then. Not sure exactly when construction is suppose to begin but if its in July as someone stated on here, they will play all their games on the road or check the availability of near by schools to see if Scott cold use their Stadium for home games. Coach mentioned SK, Holmes, Twenhofel and maybe a couple other places to me last fall.

Last I heard was that all games would be played with a normal home and away schedule. Construction is supposed to be complete by the 2010 playing season.

Will it really be an entirely new complex or will the existing one be rehabbed and turf put down? I may be wrong but when Scott H.S. was built, weren't all the athletic fields state of the art? How did they get so bad?

The playing field was never good and definitely not state of the art. Alot of money was put into the field earlier this decade under RJ Riegler to fix the field. The field is definitely better now than it was in the 80's and 90's, but it is still not very durable and can't take the abuse of the jr league, middle school, freshman, jv, and varsity football seasons. By late October it is usually a mess.

The field house (the Eagles Nest) was finished in the mid '80's, but was never that good. The layout is bad and doesn't utilize the available space that well. Air conditioning was finally added last year to the building. Remodeling and a new roof was added last year as well.

The press box is cramped and is in desperate need of replacement. Maybe adequate when built, but with cable tv, internet radio, announcers, coaches, etc., the space is limited and is probably one of the smallest in NKY.
