My question or the fact that varsity players are playing in a frosh tourney?

The fact that varsity players who have significant roles at that level being brought back down to play in a freshmen tournament. I guess some schools might utilize there kids and play them at all three levels(freshmen, jv, varisty), I am just not a advocate of it.

I agree. However I do believe a couple of these girls at Conner have played all 3 levels all year long. Highlands recently played a triple header at Conner, and 32 and 53 were what we term "12 quarter" players.

I agree wholeheartedly - you have a team of freshmen that has been in tact all season with no players playing down and they play at team that brings ringers down for specific games or tourneys.

The shot with the scoreboard in the corner did not get off before the clock went to 0.

I wonder if it went in? And if so, if it counted?

Cool pictures though, paNDA. Thanks for sharing.

Shot didn't go in......I don't even think she released it.

Congratulations to Conner's Freshman team!!!

I'm pretty sure that Kara Taulbee has been playing freshman ball all year long, or at least for the last month or so. She is also talented enough to be able to play JV and Varsity and has contributed nicely. Not to take anything away from the other freshman girls because they are all very talented and will make Conner a force in the 9th region for several years. Several of them play JV and are on the varsity team as well and have contributed lately what with injuries on the varsity squad.

All of Conner's freshman with the exception of Kring have dressed for every freshman game this year. No one was "brought down" for the tournament.

Great pictures. Players who dress varsity should not be playing in the freshmen tournament (IMO).

If that was the case, some teams would'nt have 5 players to play in the frosh tourney.

I doubt if Conner has that problem. Pretty big school.

You are all welcome for the pictures, and to my knowledge the rules that govern who can play have not been abused, only Freshmen can play. If I as a coach had a Freshmen playing Varsity I wouldn't risk the injury but it is up to the coach.

It would be nice to see everyones best Freshmen play a tourny against one another to see who the best Freshmen are. I think NDA has four that do not play on the Freshmen squad but are terrific athletes. Now that is a contest I would pay $4 to see.

In the 1st picture of the girls receiving the trophy, I believe at least half of them dress varsity. That would mean 4 girls left to field a team. There maybe a couple girls injured, but there's probably not as many available to play as you might think...

Numbers shouldn't be a problem a 6A school like Conner.

Maybe Campbell County wore Conner down last night because their players played in the Freshman and JV tournaments over the weekend.

They looked wore out at the JV tourney. NCC handled them pretty easily.
