Thanks for the info! It's just a question I had been wondering. In my opinion it is stupid for a coach to take a chance on getting a varsity starter hurt during a j.v. game. But of course, that is just my opinion.

If a player is good enough to start varsity why would the HC choose to play him in two games in one night?

Might be a MSer, freshmen, sophomore that needs playing time to continue develop their game.

 

Maybe they made their way through MS playing post and the other kids have caught up with them physical wise and they play a perimeter position on JV and working on their game outside the paint at that level.
