Corbin is still a Top 10 team IMO after this loss. Big rivalry game here and Corbin won the first 2 games this year by 10 & 18 points. Do the math and Corbin has still out scored SL by 20 points in the three games. By the way, why are they playing 3 regular season games against one another?? Was one of the games a tournament game??

Yep ... they played in the finals of the Cumberland Falls Invitational.

 

South was 15-of-16 from charity stripe.

Not really a surprise. South Laurel is a tough place to play. Corbin has a great team, but I don't think people should over do it. South Laurel played in the LIT and was beaten handily up there and then turned around and beat Corbin. Now I am not trying to put Corbin down and hope what Im about to say is taken as a compliment. I believe Corbin is a top 10 team, but would have a really tough time with teams like Holmes, Scott Co, Ballard, Eastern, etc.

 

After watching them a couple times this year I believe Corbin is similar to Franklin Co. and LexCath (whom they beat at home).

I agree with you, BUT South wasn't beat handily in the LIT. It was a three-point game with less than three minutes to go against Seneca. They were beaten pretty handily in the Hoopfest. South plays VERY TOUGH competition and I believe it helps them in the long run.

This was a good win for South I picked them to win this one. It will refocus Corbin. It is hard to beat somone 3 times especially SL. Corbin will be ready when it comes tournament time.

I think this hurts North's chances at pulling an upset. This should get Corbin's attention, and I believe they will come out focused against the Jags.

 

This is a very solid comeback win for the Cards and a nice confidence booster.

No offense to the Corbin faithful, but perhaps we can put the lamenting over the lowly 9th place on the BGP rankings away for awhile.

Why would anyone have been unhappy over being ranked 9th? Corbin is a top 20 team, not sure about a top 10 though, regardless of last night's game. I think they can compete with those teams though.

 

There are a lot of good teams out there in the state, a top 10 ranking is an honor.

Corbin is a very good team and IMO still a top 10 team.
