Ram Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 (edited) What does Paducah Tilghman need to do to improve in 2009? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive. Edited January 29, 2009 by Ram
Quake Posted July 25, 2009 Posted July 25, 2009 Looks like highly touted junior hoops prospect Josh Forrest will be a PT receiver this fall.
westsider Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 I believe they're doing one of those multiple-team scrimmages at Ballard Memorial.
Quake Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 I heard some Tennessee schools were invited, not sure about the rest, maybe 8 teams in all.
Quake Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 I have watched some contact practices and I am as undecided and uncertain as I was prior to the start of summer camp. After some looks, you hope to get a feel about a team one way or the other. Not here. What I see: withering team speed; an unnerving number of incomplete passes; an untested DL; and a whole lot of hard work and attention being given to special teams. I think the Aug. 21 Hoptown game will be a bellwether for several reasons, most notably signaling if there is a need to start updating coaching resumes.

The updating of coaching resumes is probably very accurate. Thought there would have been a complete house cleaning of the staff after last season. Plenty of good athletes in the cupboard every year at PT.

Could probably fill the backfield, the defensive backfield and the LB corps just off the track team.
Quake Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 PT unveiled a swarming defense that held Ballard Co and Heath High school scoreless tonight at Ballard Co. jamboree. It looked much improved over last year, but this was still Class A competition. Ground game clicked but mixed signals in the air. Josh Forrest caught two nice passes and track burners Rashad Brown and Denzel Powell looked very crisp. Lot of questions were answered tonight.
The Scribe Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 Why on Earth would they scrimmage schools smaller than them coming off the season they had last year?
Quake Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 You are not alone with those concerns. From an outside perspective, I think they just needed a confidence booster, something to build on.
