I agree a lot with the last part. Hard work is NOT part of todays vocabulary. I think parenting has a lot to do with it, but not necessarily all. I have seen kids with great families do the dumbest things, [robbing a Food Lion with a pellet gun was a crazy one at my HS]. The parents did nothing wrong, the kids just chose the wrong crowd. My parents didn't restrict the movies I watched [within reason] or restrict my brothers watching tv and playing video games and neither of my teenage brothers would go out and commit a crime today, of that I'm certain. So, maybe some people are just born to be trouble. Who knows?

I agree, some people are going to make stupid decisions no matter what anyone tells them or tries to teach them otherwise.
