January 14, 200917 yr Supposed to get 1 to 3 inches today within the next few hours or so I think they said on TV. (In the NKY area.) I'll believe it when I see it though.

All going north, like have said before, Ohio River slows down snow from the north to either a dusting or rain for NKY. If snow don't come directly out of the south, like it hasn't for over a decade now, very little for us. Very boring winter's, either the nuisance 1 inch snows or rain, can't even remember the last time we got a snow that hung around for more than a day. Would almost bet next week will be in the upper 40's by the weekend.

But, if I recall, it was gone pretty quickly. We haven't had sustained cold weather after snow storms to keep it around, which I think is what All In is alluding to.
January 14, 200917 yr Northern Kentucky will not see any snow. The air is too dry and evaporating the snow. The predictions were wrong yet again.

Hubby was in Afghanistan and I had to venture out to shovel the driveway. 4-6 inches is not a ton and we didn't even get that much in Mason County last year or any year in past decade that has stayed around for more than a day or two, usually gets slushy the next day and gone in a couple. If only going to get what we've been getting, just as soon summer and the heat and humidity would get here. Tired of lying weather men,what a joke of a job.

Thank you, sorry for the griping, just miss winter and snow around here, summer seems to last for 8-9 months anymore and love snow.

I feel like this storm is what caused NKU to shut down early one day and be closed the next day. This might be the most snow we've recieved in awhile, as it had to be to shut down NKU. It stuck around for 3 or 4 days, I know of because it was the week before spring break and I flew out of Dayton and it took me 2 and a half hours to get there because the interstate wasnt even cleared from Cincy to Dayton.
January 14, 200917 yr Tthe radar is solid white headed right for us. They said 1 -3 inches but they are all ready closing schools in Ohio and Indiana. We will see. I just saw that Cleveland is having Blizzard weather. Crazy. I just hate when people have to work outside in this cold. It hurts its so cold.

Dusting at best for south of the river, the solid white is upper atmosphere,will never hit the ground. Thought there was supposed to be a great salt shortage, our roads are so white now from salt because of the weatherman's forecast the last 2-3 times
