GaViking
I use potato's, carrots, onion, celery, stewed tomato's, onion soup mix and mushroom soup (put it on top of the roast and the onion soup mix - no need to dilute). I just made a huge roast on Sunday. Glad your's turned out well also.
Run To State
I always use onion and garlic, and some red wine....the wine being the "secret" ingredient. Soooo goooood!
Hoot Gibson
Glad it was a success....now I will have to get you to come over convience my husband to do some cooking.... Both sound great...I love grilled salmon.....what time should we all drop by.... The salmon would be cold before you could drive to Indy. However, the roast will not be ready to pull before mid-morning, giving you time to drive here from most anywhere in the eastern US to help pull it off the grill. Just follow the smell of hickory and apple wood smoke. It is cold and windy here. It probably took me a dozen matches to get my charcoal starter blocks lit. Incognito
I always add two beef bullion cubes to add to the taste. Sometimes I use a pressure cooker and it is done and ready to eat in 55 minutes!
Ms Liberty
A can of Coke can make that roast really tender!
