January 7, 200917 yr All but one team got in the dance. Show me one better. Had a long talk with Mike Decourcy before the season about this topic and he took the 91 Big East. I'll go with him... Someone already did. Come on only two didn't get in from that conference if all the info on here is correct. Of the 7 none were seeded lower than 8th and 2 made the final 4 w/ a champion. While Decourcy may be good he doesn't always have to be right. This isn't even close looking at it from the outside w/ no dog in the fight.

So I can take the easy way out and claim the 85 Big East as BY FAR the best ever simply because they put 3 teams in the FF? Top to bottom the 91 Big East was the strongest ever and proved it by putting all but one team in the tournament. If you only want to go on FF success, the Big East wins again...

So this year if only 9 go from the Big East then the conference isn't good b/c 7 teams didn't make it? If only 8 make it then 50% made it and the conference must not be very good. You're good at skewing numbers in your favor. 7 of 9 is really really strong, couple that w/ the champion and another final 4 team and yes its better. Also you said far and away and possibly never equalled. Come on.... If in 85 the Big East had the national champion then yes you could say that they were better than in 91.
