No one on Ryle will be able to gaurd Giwa, espcially when he pushes the ball up the floor. Plus it's not like HC hasn't defended size this year, like mentioned above Mason county, and Nikola from Scott.

Who is starting for Ryle now? Are all of them bigger then Mason County's starting five who didn't do much inside against HC?

Ryle by 20+... it won't be close if they play like they did against Conner.

My point is that if HC worried enough about Nikola inside that they left O'Connor open what will that do for Ryle if they double down on Nichols? Sullivan is strong but I don't think he can keep Nichols from scoring one-on-one.

I don't think you'll see Sullivan in this one. I agree that he scored because of the attention Nikola received, but neither Russell nor Nichols can step out and knock down the jumper the way he did. HC won't give up too many easy interior baskets I wouldn't think. However, I think McLeish will be the one to really create problems for the Indians. If they have to help off of him to defend the post he will kill them from the outside.

As said earlier in this thread, Ryle's size and strength will really give HC fits. Ryle is a much more physical team than MC and will be more patient offensively with the ball. Also Ahern is better than some are giving him credit for.

Not knocking Ahern. I think he is a decent guard and a leader, but Giwa thrives against smaller guards. I also thought Ahern looked somewhat shaky when pressured during the CCH game. That is Giwa's strength.

 

I think Ryle will win by about 7-9, but I just don't think they will dominate HC inside as much as most think. They definitely have the advantage inside against the Indians, but HC seems to find a way to slow down other team's bigs most games.

I really don't see him having as big of a game as some are predicting. Giwa isn't a very good jump shooter at all and the majority of his points come on steals and break aways. Ryle is too disciplined to allow a player like Giwa to beat them by doing that. If he has a big game it will have to be because of his shooting, not turnovers.
